Javier García-Luengo Manchado holds a PhD in Art History from the University of Salamanca (Cum Laude and Extraordinary Prize). Full Member of the Academia Hispanoamericana de Ciencias, Artes y Letras de México (corresponding to the Real Hispanoamericana Española) and Corresponding Member of the Academia Andaluza de la Historia. Elected member of the Board of the Instituto de Estudios Manchegos. Member of the Board of Trustees of the Gregorio Prieto Foundation. He is a lecturer at the International University of Valencia (VIU) and at the TAI University School of Arts (U. Rey Juan Carlos). He has carried out teaching and research stays at the University of London, Cergy-Pontoise in Paris, Anáhuac in Mexico, Évora, etc.
