Ateneo's 2024 Internship Program Trains Future Human Rights Lawyers Through Immersion and Advocacy
The Ateneo Human Rights Center (AHRC), in collaboration with the Friedrich Naumann Foundation (FNF) Philippines and the Ateneo Law School, successfully held the 2024 Semestral Break Internship Program (SBIP) with the theme, “Forming Future Human Rights Lawyers and Advocates Through the Internship Program.” The program, designed to expose law students to human rights advocacy, ran from January 2024 and featured a combination of classroom discussions, community immersion, and an evaluation session.

CLD Expands Political Education Campaign with Trainings in Region of Luzon Ahead of 2025 Midterm Elections
The Center for Liberalism and Democracy (CLD) has continued its efforts to empower local communities with the necessary tools to run effective political campaigns at the grassroots level. After successful training sessions in Visayas and Mindanao Leg specifically Davao last July and Iloilo last August, CLD has extended its reach to the Luzon region with a series of political education and campaign strategy workshops aimed at equipping liberal local leaders with the knowledge, skills, and resources essential for planning, organizing, and executing local political campaigns.

LP Holds Political Education Forums Across Regions in Preparation for 2025 Mid-term Elections
The Liberal Party of the Philippines (LP) has continued its political education initiative, Mamamayang Libera (ML) to engage citizens and enhance political awareness ahead of the 2025 midterm elections. With support from the Friedrich Naumann Foundation (FNF) Philippines, the forum series recently reached students and Youth Council officials in Liloy and Dipolog City in Zamboanga del Norte. Aimed at fostering a deeper understanding of liberalism, the events attracted a significant turnout, with local figures like Congressman Adrian Amatong of Zamboanga del Norte helping to organize and facilitate the sessions.
